PROPERTIES OF WATER
Freshwater is water found naturally on the Earth's surface in ice sheets, wetlands, lagoons, lakes, rivers and streams, and below the surface as groundwater in aquifers and underground streams. It is generally characterised by a low concentration of salts and dissolved solids. Pure water has a pH level close to 7, which is the neutral value; below this value, it is considered an acidic medium and above this value, an alkaline medium. The optimum alkalinity value, so that we can benefit from all its properties, would be between 8 and 9.5. Fresh water helps us to obtain essential nutrients, provides us with energy, eliminates toxins, improves digestive function and regulates our body temperature. Water is essential for all living organisms, so let's take care of our planet and take care of our water.
Seawater is salty because it contains a high concentration of dissolved mineral salts deposited in the rivers that flow into the oceans and seas. To be more precise, it contains approximately 35 grams of salts per litre of water. The benefits of salt water include curing skin diseases, combating respiratory diseases, soothing rheumatism, arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as reducing stress and anxiety by being close to the sea. The seas and oceans must be cared for and kept clean. Not only for us, but for all the marine species that live in them.
